Category: Pack Accessories

The Ladder Shoulder Harness is the latest suspension system for our mainstay packs, serving as a replacement part or an upgrade for those with the old style. The harness uses a robust hook-and-loop center panel, allowing you to quickly adjust the pack's fit in incremental steps.

The harness now features more comfortable air-mesh padding and a fully adjustable sternum strap that evenly distributes weight, cushions, and reduces rubbing during long days in the field. The Ladder Shoulder Harness provides enough support to manage heavy loads while still allowing natural shoulder articulation, and its integrated adjustment points let you fine-tune ride height and tension so the pack stays properly positioned against your body.

When paired with a hip belt, the Ladder Shoulder Harness works as part of a complete suspension system that stabilizes the pack, improves load transfer, and maintains comfort when packing heavy.
The Ladder Shoulder Harness is backward-compatible with all our legacy packs that use the same harness style and comes with all our new ladder harness pack systems.

The Ladder Shoulder Harness is available in two sizes:

  • Regular
  • Long

Benjamin H. ★★★★★

The hook-and-loop closure is way more secure than the old clips, and I love that I can fine-tune the fit without any tools. Took me about ten minutes to install and it’s held up perfectly on a few rocky hikes so far.

Richard P. ★★★★★

The hook-and-loop closure on the Ladder Shoulder Harness is a huge improvement over the old style—it snaps into place with zero fuss, and my pack finally sits right on my shoulders even when it's loaded heavy. Honestly, I didn't expect such a simple swap to make this much of a difference on the trai

Ava G. ★★★★★

Took a while to get the fit dialed in, but once I adjusted the hook-and-loop panels it's noticeably more stable on steep scrambles than the old setup. The ladder design spreads the load across my shoulders way better on a full water haul.
