For decades, Eberlestock and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation have shared a commitment to the people, places, and traditions that define the hunting community. Rooted in a passion for western landscapes and a respect for our hunting heritage, both organizations understand that conservation is essential to the future of hunting.

In honor of this long-standing relationship, The Foundation Pack is purpose-built for backcountry hunters who demand comfort, stability, and efficient load hauling in a streamlined design. Perfect for day hunts, it offers 2500 cubic inches of storage with quick access to essential gear. When it’s time to pack out, the frame-mounted load panel secures quarters and heavy loads between the pack and the frame, keeping weight close to your back for maximum stability.

Blending modern Eberlestock innovation with legendary durability, the Foundation Pack is constructed utilizing the same frame as our Brute Series and Modframe™. Its Contoured Shoulder Harness, Cradle Hip Belt, padded lumbar support, and raised load lifters will keep the pack securely positioned on your torso when navigating the uneven terrain where elk call home. Drawing inspiration from the Bandit Pack, the exterior of the pack also features a load panel to quickly stow shed antlers, bows, jackets, waders, and other gear. Pair with the Pack Lid to maximize storage capability and securely anchor bulky loads.

In collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Foundation Pack carries forward Eberlestock’s long-standing commitment to conservation. A portion of every sale goes directly to RMEF to support their mission to “ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat, and our hunting heritage.” To date, Eberlestock has donated more than $750,000 to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation through the sale of RMEF branded packs. Together, we are proud to build gear that performs in the field and contributes to protecting the land we love.

Matthew ★★★★★

Packed it for a three-day elk scouting trip and the layout just works—everything I need is right where I expect it, even when I'm grabbing for it in the dark. The western-focused design really shows in how it carries a heavy load without shifting on steep climbs.

Joshua J. ★★★★☆

The stitching around the top and the way the straps sit is solid, and it holds a surprising amount without feeling bulky. Only wish the hip belt was a touch more padded for heavier loads, but it's a great daily pack.

Thomas H. ★★★★☆

Roomy enough for a day’s gear, but the hip belt padding could be thicker for heavier loads. I’ve used it on three short hunts now and the main compartment swallows a jacket, water, and optics without fuss.
