Took a chance on this and the two-piece setup fits my duffel’s basement compartment like it was measured for it. The 1" layer gives just enough padding for a handgun case, while the 3" block swallows a rifle bag without shifting during travel. Exactly the secure, organized storage I needed.

The 3" piece cradles my gear so snugly in the basement compartment that nothing rattles even on rough rides. Cutting the 1" foam to fit odd shapes took ten minutes, but now everything stays put exactly where I stow it.

The two-piece setup is exactly what I needed to organize the lower compartment, and the 3" piece handles my longer items without any shifting during transit. Cutouts are precise and the foam density feels solid, not flimsy.
