Used mine to lash a rolled-up sleeping pad onto the outside of my pack, and the 36-inch length gave plenty of room to work with through the web loops. They’re holding up great so far with no fraying after a couple of rocky hikes. Exactly what I needed for extra gear when the inside is packed tight.

The 36-inch length gives me just enough room to strap my sleeping bag crosswise on the pack without fighting the webbing. Routing them through the padlock loops was straightforward, and they hold tight even on bumpy trail miles.

Finally I can lash my tent and pad to the outside without wrestling the main straps off the pack — these just thread through the Padlock webbing and hold tight all day. The 36" length gives plenty of reach for bulky loads, and once cinched down they don’t shift at all.
